Originally founded in 1991 as Harlem RBI, DREAM has grown to annually serve more than 2,500 youth across East Harlem and the South Bronx through a network of seven PreK-12, extended-day, extended-year DREAM Charter Schools and community sports-based youth development programs. DREAM is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as our Softball Head Coach for our high school competitive team. The ideal candidate has experience coaching high school-aged students, and has an understanding of softball as a player and coach.
Coaches are key members of the Athletics team and ensure the continued excellence, growth and sustainability of DREAM’s Athletics programs.

Are you ready to inspire the next generation of athletes? DREAM Charter High School in New York, NY, is searching for an enthusiastic and experienced High School Softball Head Coach to lead our competitive team starting in March 2025. At DREAM, we’re committed to nurturing our students through a blend of high-caliber academics and community-centered sports programs. As the Head Coach, you’ll play a vital role in not just shaping players on the field, but also fostering their personal growth and life skills. Your responsibilities will include creating innovative practice plans, running 1-3 practices a week, leading in-game strategies, and building strong engagement with the athletes to recruit them to join the team. You’ll supervise their conduct and ensure their safety while modeling positive behavior both on and off the field. Our ideal candidate will bring at least two years of coaching experience, a solid understanding of softball’s ins and outs, and a passion for youth development. We believe all students can succeed, and the ideal coach will deeply share that conviction. This role is part-time, requiring commitment Monday to Thursday evenings and may include weekend games.
